Workers prepared for the job: Thanks to Mayes County’s strong manufacturing base—manufacturing comprises up 30% of our employment base versus 11% for the state as a whole—our workforce is already immersed in the language and requirements of global manufacturing. And MidAmerica workforce skills are backstopped and certified by WorkKeys and Work Ready training and assessment programs—important quantitative measures that give area employers crucial assurance of quality.  And our workforce comes through with round-the-clock performance: Of the approximate 3,800 employees at MidAmerica, approximately 60% are employed at 2nd or 3rd shift rotations.  Add in free training customized to your needs, and you’ve got a world-class workforce second to none.

Recruitment opportunity: While Mayes County unemployment is relatively low, approximately 5%, the County also has the state’s highest percentage of workers commuting out of county for work; latest estimates show that over 36% of Mayes County workers commute 30 minutes or more, representing an excellent recruitment opportunity.

At 9,000 acres, MidAmerica is one of the nation’s largest industrial parks, strategically located at a northeast Oklahoma crossroads.
