Berry Global Joins Forces with Amcor, Strengthening MidAmerica’s Global Reach

Berry Global, a longtime tenant at MidAmerica Industrial Park, has officially merged with global packaging leader Amcor in an $8.4 billion all-stock deal. The transaction positions the combined company as a dominant force in consumer and healthcare packaging, with operations in over 140 countries and annual revenues of approximately $24 billion. 

Berry’s facility at MidAmerica, one of its largest, plays a key strategic role in the company’s operations. The site produces over 140 million pounds of material annually, focusing on stretch film, shrink film and agricultural irrigation pipes. In recent years, the facility has expanded its capacity and added new production lines to support the online shipping and parcel market .

This merger not only underscores Berry’s commitment to innovation and growth but also enhances MidAmerica Industrial Park’s reputation as a hub for industry leaders. The combined entity’s expanded capabilities and global reach are expected to bring new opportunities for collaboration and development within the Park.
